Special Lubricants & Additives
The standard stock range of Oilite® bearings is impregnated with a mineral oil SAE 30 viscosity; all machined Oilite® bearings and plates are supplied fully impregnated after machining.
Oilite® conforms to ISO 2795
Oilite® metric bearings are manufactured to the tolerances set out in ISO 2795 – Plain Bearings from Sintered Material.
Material Choice
Standard Oilite® – oil retaining tin bronze is the generally specified material. It gives a good balance between strength, wear resistance, conformability and durability in operation. Ideal in a wide variety of applications where self lubricating properties are required over a long period of time.

We carry a range of bearings which suit those buying for performance or those with less demanding requirements and who are looking to minimise bearing cost.

Ball thrust bearings provide optimum performance in high-speed applications, particularly where loads are generally lighter.
We carry a wide range of ball thrust bearings.

Pillow blocks are most extensively used among the bearing units. They are fixed to the shafts by means of the setscrews prepared in the inner ring.
Cast Iron Bearing Housings: Take Up Unit
Take up units are applied to machines in which the centre of the main shaft needs free alignment.
The oval flange units are useful in saving space and weight. They can be installed by means of two bolts. The set bolt pitch is the same as that of the square flange type.
Cast Iron Bearing Housings: Square Flange Unit
The square flange units are designed to fix at the sides of the machine which are vertical to the centre of the shafts by means of 4 bolts. This mounting method is widely used in machines.

Rotary shaft seals are applied for sealing rotating machinery parts. Essentially, they consist of a rubber portion, a stiffening metal sheet and a garter spring.
The rubber elastomer outer covering tolerates thermal expansion as well as roughness in the housing bore. There will be no fretting corrosion. Furthermore, damage of the housing bore will be prevented when frequently replacing the seal. This qualifies for sealing gaseous or liquid media.
