CPI’s J4 Series Waterproof Ball Switches represent the next generation of high-reliability motion and position sensors for demanding military and industrial systems.
Constructed entirely from plated stainless steel, these switches are engineered to withstand shock, vibration, and total submersion — while maintaining electrical and mechanical integrity across millions of cycles.
At the heart of the J4 design lies CPI’s patented sealed ball carrier mechanism, which prevents mud, dirt, ice, sand, and other contaminants from jamming the actuator.
The result is a compact, fully waterproof switch that continues to perform flawlessly in environments that destroy conventional ball switches.
Extreme Temperature Endurance
Temperature resilience is one of the strongest advantages of the J4 Series.
While most sealed switches are rated only to about 85 °C, CPI’s J4 devices are tested and qualified for operation up to +302 °F (+150 °C), and as low as –40 °F (–40 °C).
This makes them ideal for engine compartments, outdoor vehicle controls, and high-heat industrial systems, where thermal stability and sealing integrity are equally critical.
